Free Fit in the Park

The Valley Wellness Coalition to offer “Free Fit” in local parks and facilities this summer!

The cities of Murrieta, Temecula, Menifee and Lake Elsinore are thrilled to announce their collaboration this summer for their regional health program once again! The collaborative organization, Valley Wellness Coalition (V.W.C.), will provide free fitness activities titled “Free Fit” at the local parks of all the participating cities during the summer throughout the week for the residents of these local communities. The program seeks to inspire healthy living, motivation, and community engagement amongst all members of the Valley communities.

 Murrieta will start the week with “Tai Chi in the Park” meditation for the body and mind at the Murrieta Community Center on Mondays. Tuesdays will be filled by an energetic workout called “ZuZu Fit” at Antelope Hills Park. Lastly, the week will be rounded out with Thursday morning “Water Exercise” at the California Oaks Sports Park (limited to the first 30 participants).  Menifee will offer “Mental Wellness Mondays,” allowing for an hour of coloring and relaxation to start the week at the Kay Ceniceros Center. “Pickleball Wednesdays” will be offered at La Ladera Park and is open to all skill levels. “Family Fun Fridays” will be hosted by Rec N Trek and will wrap up at Central Park in Menifee.  Temecula will offer Summer Family Fun Nights on Mondays at their Community Recreation Center for an hour of unplugged fun! On Wednesdays, they will play host to their popular “Sunset Yoga in the Park” at Harveston Community Park.  Lake Elsinore will be hosting “Fit After 50” on Mondays at the Senior Activity. In addition to this activity, the Senior Activity Center will also hold “Friday Night Zumba”! On Wednesdays, the Lake Community Center will offer “Toddler ABC Sports” for ages 3 to 5 years old. “Fit Trail Tour” Fridays will allow everyone to tour Lake Elsinore’s five fitness trails.  Pre-registration is not required, but is requested for the activities. There will be registration forms on site. Online registration can be made with the city hosting the desired event.
