The Murrieta Youth Center is now open weekdays after school!
The Youth Center is located at 40644 California Oaks Road behind Rite Aid and the California Oaks Sports Park. It is a 6,000 square-foot facility dedicated to the youth of Murrieta. Daily after-school activities are currently geared toward youth in grades 6 through 9 (must show valid ID or report card for verification). The Youth Center is currently recruiting high school students for volunteer tutoring positions. Volunteers are asked to commit a minimum 3 hours per month (split in two shifts) of tutoring any participants interested. Volunteers will receive valuable experience and community service hours through their participation. If you are interested in participating in the Youth Center's tutoring program, please visit the Volunteer Connection page on this website to create an account and fill out the required application.
The YAC is proud to represent the youth of Murrieta. YAC members are required to attend monthly meetings that include leadership skills training, social gatherings, and youth event planning. The YAC is responsible for offering numerous events throughout the year geared to their peers. One YAC representative also serves on the Parks and Recreation Commission in order for the youth of Murrieta to have representation regarding the services this department offers.

The City of Murrieta Community Service Department (CSD) is looking for a few GREAT people to help VOLUNTEER for numerous city-wide events!
Duties of volunteering may include (but are not limited to): assisting with event set-up, interaction with the public, handing out information, helping create a positive atmosphere, running game booths, assisting with clean-up, and having a GREAT time.
