Fatal Traffic Collision

On Sunday, November 17, 2019 at 4:57 pm, the Murrieta Police Department Dispatch Center received a call of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian on Winchester Road and Briggs Road.  The collision occurred in the southbound lanes of Winchester Road.  Murrieta Police and Fire personnel arrived and found a 56 year old male pedestrian suffering from serious injuries.  The male was transported to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.  The male was pronounced deceased at the hospital on November 20th, 2019.  The Riverside County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is handling the cause of death investigation. The male's identify is being withheld at this time until next of kin is notified. The cause of the collision is still under investigation. 

The Murrieta Police Traffic Bureau is requesting any witnesses that have not yet been contacted by a traffic investigator to please contact Traffic Investigator Rob Aberle at 951-461-6388.
