With Hurricane Hilary forecasted to bring much rain to the Southwest, the City of Murrieta wants to help residents prepare in case large amounts of rain fall in our area. Sandbags are available for 𝐅𝐑𝐄𝐄 to Murrieta residents at Murrieta Fire Stations 1 and 2.
The locations are self-service and bringing a shovel is suggested as supplies could be limited. The number of sandbags is limited to 10 sandbags per household. No commercial use please.
Murrieta Firefighters are ready to respond to any water or weather-related incidents throughout the storm.
Also, stay safe in the rain:
- Slow down and give yourself extra time.
- Stop at those stop signs and red lights.
- Don’t follow too close.
- Turn on your headlights.
- Don’t drink and drive.
- Don't drive through moving water, no matter how shallow.
