NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the Planning Commission of the City of Murrieta on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, to consider the following matter:

Development Plan Permit (DP-2021-2343) and Conditional Use Permit (CUP-2021-2344) (Car Wash): The project is a Development Plan Permit and Conditional Use Permit to construct and operate a 3,585-square-foot car wash building located on an undeveloped 1-acre parcel. The expected hours of operation are the following: 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. The project site is in the Community Commercial (CC) zone located on Parcel 4 of Parcel Map 32921 within Margarita Ville Shopping Center located at the southwest corner of Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Margarita Road (APN: 913-160-070).  

Environmental Determination:  The Project has been determined to be exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project is exempt under CEQA  Guidelines Section 15332 – In-Fill Development. 

Any person may either submit written comments to the Planning Commission before the hearing or may appear and be heard before the Planning Commission at the time of the hearing.  If you challenge the City’s action on this project in court you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the Planning Commission at, or prior to the public hearing.  The environmental finding, along with the proposed project application, may be reviewed at the Planning Division counter, Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and every other Friday from 8:30-4:00 p.m. If you should have any questions on the project, please contact the staff Associate Planner, Farrah Bulacan, who can be reached via e-mail at: [email protected] or by phone at (951) 461-6083.
