NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Murrieta at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 6:00 pm or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard.
The public hearing relates to the adoption of the proposed Fiscal Year 2023/24 to 2027/28 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) for the City of Murrieta. The proposed new CIP locations include:
- CIP 10044 City Hall & Fire Station 1 Generator Project: Project is located at 1 Town Square and 41825 Juniper Street Murrieta, CA 92562
- CIP 10045 ADA Transition Plan-Priority and Future Projects: Projects are at various locations citywide in Murrieta, CA 92562 and 92563
- CIP 10046 SCBA Equipment Replacement Project: The project is located in Fire Station #1 located at 41825 Juniper Street, Murrieta, CA 92562
- CIP 10047 Type 1 Fire Engine Project: The project is located in Fire Station #1 located at 41825 Juniper Street, Murrieta, CA 92562
- CIP 10048 Emergency Operations Equipment Project: The project is located in Fire Station #1 located at 41825 Juniper Street, Murrieta, CA 92562, and at the Police Department Building at 2 Town Square Murrieta, CA 92562
- CIP 11002 FY23/24 Citywide Bridge Preservation Program : The project is located in various locations in Murrieta, CA 92562 and 92563
- CIP 13046 FY23/24 Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Project: The project is located in various locations in Murrieta, CA 92562 and 92563

- CIP 21034 Murrieta Regional Public Safety Training Center: Project is located in the City-owned property within the Public Works Corporate Yard at 41625 Fig Street, Murrieta, CA 92562
- CIP 21035 PD Admin Office Improvements Project: The project is located in the Police Department Building at 2 Town Square Murrieta, CA 92562

- CIP 22035 Palomar Park Tot Project: Project is located in Palomar Park located at 29750 Via Mira Mosa, Murrieta, CA 92563
- CIP 22036 Northstar Park Tot Project: Project is located in the Northstar Park located at Pictor Avenue, Murrieta, CA 92563
- CIP 22037 Mapleton Park Shade Covers Project: Project is located in Mapleton Park located at 28586 Poinsettia Street, Murrieta, CA 92563

- CIP 22041 Los Alamos Hills Sports Park Electric Vehicle Charging Station Project: Project is located in the Los Alamos Hills Sports Park located at 37000 Ruth Ellen Drive at Hunter Road, Murrieta, CA 92563
- CIP 50131 Pollinator Garden Project: Project is located in the Murrieta Public Library Building located at 8 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562
Existing CIP project locations can be found in the proposed CIP. The CIP will be made available for inspection at the City Clerk’s Department (City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta) no later than August 4, 2023, during normal business hours and also on the City of Murrieta’s website https://www.murrietaca.gov/169/Budget-Management.
Any interested person may either submit written comments to the City Council before the hearing or may appear and be heard before the City Council at the time of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk at 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562 and by email at [email protected]. Written comments may also be submitted at the public hearing. If you challenge the City’s action on this amendment in court you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council prior to the public hearing.
