[ARCHIVED] We're Improving California Oaks Road

improvements ahead sign

California Oaks Rehab flyerWe thank you for your patience, as the City of Murrieta invests in rehabilitating California Oaks Road from Clinton Keith Road to the 15 freeway. This work involves road strengthening and resurfacing, contributing to the longevity, safety and aesthetics of the roadway—and the overall quality of our community.

The California Oaks project will use environmentally-friendly Cold-in-Place Recycling (CIR) to rehabilitate the base layer of the road, a process that eliminates hundreds of truck trips and allows us to complete the work more quickly and efficiently using a 200-foot CIR train.

At no time do we plan to fully close California Oaks Road. We will be completing each phase of the work in sections and re-routing traffic around closed lanes, so please expect some congestion. We have noted the anticipated dates for each phase below; watch our website for updates.

October 14-22
Prepping (minimal disruption)

October 23-31
CIR Base Layer Application

October 31-November 7
Paving (top-layer)

Striping, utility adjustments and traffic signal loops to be completed by mid-December.
