COURTESY NOTIFICATION IS HEREBY GIVEN that a workshop presentation will be held before the Planning Commission on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. or soon thereafter at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, to consider the following matter:

 

HILLSIDE ORDINANCE UPDATES WORKSHOP (DCA-2021-2396): Presentation by staff on existing hillside ordinance criteria to seek input under a proposed ordinance framework for future consideration. Areas that will be covered include overlay and height applicability, height measurement criteria, hillside slope applicability, average slope calculation, prominent ridge criteria, retaining wall and related criteria.

 

Environmental Determination: The workshop presentation to discuss the hillside updates is not a “project” under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15061(b)(3). Any subsequent actions will be evaluated consistent with CEQA Guidelines.

Any person may either submit written comments to the Planning Commission before the presentation or may appear and be heard before the Planning Commission at the time of the presentation. The environmental finding along with the proposed project application may be reviewed at the Planning Division counter Monday – Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and every other Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The draft Environmental Determination for this workshop is available online at https://www.murrietaca.gov/290/Public-Notices 

 

It is the intention of the City to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in all respects.  Upon request, the agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to persons with disabilities.  If you require modification, accommodation or special assistance to attend or participate in this meeting, please contact the City Clerk Department at (951) 461-6030 at least 48 hours prior to the meeting date. The 48-hour notification period will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements to ensure accessibility to this meeting.
