JOINT DISPATCH CENTER BENEFITS TWO CITIESMurrieta & Menifee Kickoff Historic Partnership |
Last month, both Menifee and Murrieta Councils approved an innovative dispatch partnership that will build regional connections, improve efficiencies and save money for both cities, including $600K for Murrieta over two years.
Through a cost-sharing agreement between the cities, Murrieta will hire an additional 12 dispatchers and expand its Communications Center to serve Menifee's new Police Department. Dispatchers will be trained to support both cities, enhancing local resources while boosting regional public safety. When the regional center is fully operational, dispatchers will manage calls for Murrieta Fire, Police and EMS, as well as Menifee Police.
