NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Murrieta on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 6:00 p.m., or a time soon thereafter, at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, to consider the following matter:
A proposed amendment of the City’s Municipal Code to amend Chapter 8.28 (Waste Management) to include provisions regarding recyclables and organics collection as mandated under SB 1383 (Short-lived climate pollutant). All questions and requests for information regarding this amendment should be directed to the City Manager’s Office, Louie Lacasella, Assistant to the City Manager, [email protected] or 951-461-6008.
Any interested person may either submit written comments to the City Council before the hearing or may appear and be heard before the City Council at the time of the hearing. Written comments may be submitted to the City Clerk at 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562 and by email at [email protected]. Written comments may also be submitted at the public hearing. If you challenge the City’s action on this amendment in court you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council prior to the public hearing.
