The 2021 Slurry Project has begun. This year's work will positively impact on over 10 million square feet of local roads. The full project is expected to be complete by the end of January 2022, with some final touches on particular roads taking place after that. This is a continuation of the last slurry seal effort that covered nearly half of all residential streets. Local roads not included in the first year's work or this year's project will be done starting in October 2023. Moving forward, the City has a goal to complete smaller slurry projects every two years so that all City-maintained local roads receive fresh slurry every 6 - 8 years.
