NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

REDISTRICTING 2021 – INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE

 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Council of the City of Murrieta will conduct a public hearing per Elections Code Section 21607.1 on November 16, 2021, at a time certain of 6:45 P.M. at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard at which the City Council will receive public input on the proposed map for adoption and introduce an ordinance changing the boundaries of voting districts in the City of Murrieta which may be adopted at a subsequent public hearing.

All interested persons are invited to attend said public hearing and express opinions and comments relating to this matter. Written comments concerning this matter may be submitted to the City Clerk at 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562 and by email at [email protected]. Written comments may also be submitted at the public hearing.

If you challenge the City’s action on this project in court you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council at, or prior to the public hearing.

The map for the proposed Council Districts will be available for review at the public hearing. The map is also available for public inspection at the City Clerk’s (City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta), during normal business hours or on the City’s Clerk’s Redistricting 2021 webpage at www.MurrietaCA.gov/Redistricting.

Notification 72 hours prior to the meeting will enable the City to make reasonable arrangements.
