We are connected by community, by business, by well-being.
With the introduction of the City’s new brand, we’re capturing some of the things that make Murrieta special while building a consistent, recognizable look and feel into our public-facing outreach.
There’s no shortage of images representing the City. An informal survey found more than 20 different signs and symbols currently in use throughout the community.
“Official or home-grown, these symbols are an important part of our history,” says City Manager Kim Summers. “They’re not going away. But as we expand and refine communications, the time had come to bring greater clarity and intentionality to our brand.”
In preparation for the re-branding, the City conducted focus groups with residents and businesses to help identify elements that define this community. What emerged was a clear focus on connectivity.
Family, community, growth and legacy also emerged as key values. Anchoring these were the City’s record for safety, its exceptional schools, vibrant and growing business community and central Southern California location. There is pride in Murrieta’s history and optimism for the future.
The new brand logo will appear on City outreach materials, such as newsletters, websites, advertising and promotional items. We will continue to use the City Seal on official City of Murrieta documents.
