Murrieta Mayor Scott Vinton to give State of the City Address at New Town Square Park Amphitheater

The City will present its 30th Anniversary State of the City on Tuesday, June 29, 2021, at the new Town Square Park Amphitheater. Mayor Scott Vinton will deliver the address at 7 p.m. The event is open to the public and free to attend. Preceding the event, the Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce will host a reception at the Murrieta Public Library Garden of Verses from 5:30-6:30 p.m. A $25 ticket is required for the VIP reception.

Looking back at the strong community the City has become in the last 30 years, the State of the City will address both challenges and triumphs. Mayor Vinton will discuss exciting business and development updates, how the City continued to maintain operations with minimal service disruption during this past year, and what’s in store for the future.

As a special treat, students from the Norris Performing Arts Academy (N-PAC) will open the event with a short musical performance, providing a glimpse of what’s to come with the state-of-the-art amphitheater in our own backyard.

The collaborative event between the City and Chamber reflects the long history the two organizations have of working together toward community and business success.

“We are always glad to partner with the City of Murrieta and continue to be humbled by the support our community shows for each other at every turn, which is especially noticeable in a year like we have had,” says Murrieta/Wildomar Chamber of Commerce President/CEO Patrick Ellis. “I encourage community members to come hear Mayor Vinton’s address to witness how the City has so successfully weathered the storm at one of the first in-person events we have been able to do in the past year!”

Mayor Vinton shared his enthusiasm about going live with Murrieta residents.

“After more than a year of connecting by video, I embrace the opportunity to stand on the stage of our new amphitheater and share our accomplishments and vision with the people of Murrieta. State of the City is a highlight for me as Mayor, and we will do our best to engage, inform--and maybe even entertain the audience.”

Tickets for the VIP Reception are $25 per person and can be purchased at www.bit.ly/MSOTC21
