Murrieta Start-up Completes $2 Million Seed Round
A cutting-edge medical startup working out of the Murrieta Innovation Center, simplSEQ, has just completed a successful $2 million seed round. Seven companies incubating in the Innovation Center have received major funding in just the last two years, helping to create a major biotech ecosystem right here in our backyard. The funding for simplSEQ shows the investment value of their patent-pending technology that makes genetic testing more efficient and accurate.
The Murrieta Innovation Center is a medical technology incubator owned by the City of Murrieta and managed by the nonprofit organization, the Murrieta Partnership. The center’s goal is to create a life science hub that brings new healthcare-related startup companies to our region, creating new industries and high-paying job opportunities.
