Pop-up Event Brings Spay and Neuter Vouchers to Murrieta City Hall
To support local access to animal services, Animal Friends of the Valleys and the PetCo Foundation will host a Spay Day pop-up event on Monday, February 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at Murrieta City Hall. Pet owners can receive spay, neuter, and discounted microchip vouchers and learn more about local animal services.
“By increasing local access to spay and neuter services, events like this can help ensure that all pets are wanted and have a safe, loving home,” says Murrieta City Council Member Jonathan Ingram. “We are proud of the City’s longstanding partnership with Animal Friends of the Valleys and pleased to host this event locally.”
Murrieta is one of several Southwest Riverside County cities that contracts with Animal Friends of the Valleys to provide animal care services, including vaccination, shelter, spay and neuter, training, and more. The organization served 1,090 Murrieta cats and dogs in 2020 and hopes to increase this reach in 2021.
Vouchers are good for $100 (dogs) and $50 (cats) and can be used for up to two personal household pets. $10 microchips vouchers are also available. To redeem a voucher, pet owners must live in an area served by Animal Friends of the Valleys such as Murrieta. Residents must fill out an application and provide proof of residency.
City Hall is located at 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562. This outdoor pop-up will follow COVID-19 guidelines. Please wear a mask and socially distance.
