[ARCHIVED] Public Notice - Organics Code Amendment





NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a public hearing will be held before the City Council of the City of Murrieta on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. AS A TELECONFERENCE MEETING based at City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA 92562, to consider the following matter:


A proposed amendment of the City’s Municipal Code to amend Chapter 8.28 (Waste Management) to include provisions regarding recyclables and organics collection as mandated under AB 1826 (Mandatory Commercial Organics Recycling).


Any person may either submit written comments to the City Council before the hearing or may appear and be heard before the City Council at the time of the hearing via TELECONFERENCE.  State law provides that if you challenge the City’s action on this amendment in court you may be limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the public hearing described in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City Council via EMAIL OR TELECONFERENCE prior to the public hearing.
