Pictures for New Name Badges

Human Resources is pleased to announce that we are partnering with a new vendor, American Security Group, for our picture ID/door access cards.   You may have seen American Security Group installing card reader panels throughout City Hall recently. 


All employees in City Hall & the Library will be issued a new Picture ID/door access card.  Your current access card will continue to work until we “go live” with the new system.  Our “go live” date for City Hall & the Library is scheduled for November 18, 2020.


We have set up the following dates/times for pictures:

Tuesday, October 27th from 1:30pm - 3:30pm in the Veterans Room.

Wednesday, October 28th from 8:00am - 10:00am in the Veterans Room.


If your badge picture is more than 5 years old, you are required to get a new picture taken.  If your badge picture is less than 5 years old, taking a new picture taken is optional.  If a new picture is not taken, HR will use your current badge picture or your Mitel photo for producing your new access card.  HR will distribute your new access card a few days before go live.  Once we go live and you ensure your badge is working as expected, you will turn in your old badge to HR (to be destroyed).


This new system will also be used for Police and Fire however their implementation schedule may be different than City Hall & the Library.
