The program would educate youths between 8 to 13 years of age the importance of our parks, trails, and local wildlife as well as have them take an active approach. Some of the different activities included in achieving the Junior Ranger badge and certificate are:
- Classroom activities that can educate students on local wildlife, flora, the importance of taking care of our parks and trails, and learn who and what a Park Ranger is.
- A day out with a Park Ranger at a local park.
