General Plan 2035
Murrieta’s General Plan provides a “blueprint” for the city’s growth and resources to serve an estimated build out population of 133,452 within the city’s incorporated limits of 33.61 square miles (21,511 acres).
General Plan Contents
The General Plan includes the State mandated elements of:
- Housing
- Air Quality
- Circulation
- Conservation
- Land Use
- Noise and Safety
- Recreation and Open Space
- Optional Elements of Economic Development and Healthy Community
Additionally, a Climate Action Plan was adopted, which describes measures intended to reduce greenhouse emissions.
