The City of Murrieta welcomes your interest in doing business with us and is constantly looking for suppliers of the varied goods and services it procures. The City of Murrieta is now using PlanetBids for its online bid management provider to solicit formal and informal bids for Public Works projects. PlanetBids is also used to manage the City’s Master Vendor List, which is a list of all vendors wishing to do business with the City, whether it be for purchasing goods and services or vendors competing for public works projects. Registering with PlanetBids does not guarantee that business will be awarded to vendors. 

Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22036, the City invites all licensed contractors to register at PlanetBids to be included on the City’s qualified bidders list. By registering your business you will be added to the City’s Master Vendor List which is available to all departments. If your business has previously submitted a request, you must verify that you are registered with the City of Murrieta via your PlanetBids vendor profile. 

There is no guarantee your business will be contacted for job opportunities after being added to the list. Awards are made to the most responsive and responsible bidders meeting the City’s specifications.

Pursuant to Section 3.08.235 of the City’s Municipal Code, qualified local vendors shall be granted a bidding preference of three percent (3%) for purchase of materials and supplies. This preference does not extend to Public Works contracts.
