Permit Processing Program
Online Permitting Now Available
On March 1, 2023, the City of Murrieta launched its new online permitting system to better serve customers. Now all solar, main panel upgrades, HVAC install and replacements, tenant improvements, water heaters, patios/balconies (City Standard), and pool permits, among many other permit functions will be done through a new customer self-service platform.
All projects are now to be submitted through our Customer Self Service Portal with the exception of:
- New Multi-Family
- New Tract Homes
- New Hotel/Motel
- New Senior Living
These projects will need to be submitted here.
Please review the following resources to submit your plan submittals properly to prevent any processing delays:
This program provides all customers (residents, developers, architects and engineers) with fast, fair and friendly counter services. The Building Safety Division:
- Coordinates with other city departments in the application and permitting process
- Takes in building permit applications and plan-check submittals (Now Electronically)
Please note that a new submittal must have an address and an APN in order for the Building Department to review the plans.
Call a permit technician at 951-461-6062 to schedule an appointment if you have any questions regarding new submittals and resubmittals.
