Since 2017 the State legislature has passed a slew of new housing laws aimed at facilitating housing production in the State.
A record number of housing bills were signed into law in the past year. Most of the laws took effect on January 1, 2023, with a few going into effect later in the year. Below is a brief summary, broken down by category, of the laws that are most relevant or impactful to Murrieta since 2017.
