Online Permitting Now Available
On March 1, 2023, the City of Murrieta launched its new online permitting system to better serve customers. Now many City of Murrieta permits and payments can be handled through the convenient online system available 24/7.
Everything from solar, main panel upgrades, Fire Department inspections and permits, HVAC install and replacements, tenant improvements, water heaters, patios/balconies (City Standard), and pool permits, among many other permit functions, can be handled through the new customer self-service platform.
Submittals for tenant improvements, new single-family homes/tract homes, multi-family homes, new commercial/Industrial, cell sites, signs, commercial EV charging stations, demos, single-family additions/alterations (major alterations), ADU/JADU, hotel/motel. The Department of Public Works/Engineering Division reviews plan submittals and issues permits related to grading, streets, storm drain, easements, mapping, haul routes, right of way encroachments, transportation permits, and vacations.
The fire department reviews plans and issues permits for fire sprinklers, specialty fire protection,
fire alarms, fire underground, high pile storage, access and water supply, fuel modification,
