To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library will be modifying hours on April 24, 2018, for mandatory staff training. Dr. Steve Albrecht, a former police officer with San Diego Police Department, author, and noted presenter, will provide Library staff with training to recognize potential threats, defuse conflict, and react properly to special situations.
The Library will delay opening until 2:00 p.m. Closing time will remain the same time: 8:00 p.m. In anticipation of the closure, no library materials will be due on April 24th;however, book drops will remain open during the half day closure. Library users are reminded that while the Library will be closed for a half day, books, DVDs, CDs and other materials can be renewed beforehand at the Library or via the Library’s web page where patrons can view their personal accounts and access a variety of free resources that are always available for research.
