To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library’s Teen Department has six exciting programs lined up for 2018!
The Library will be hosting a monthly virtual reality experience demo every fourth Wednesday starting January 24 at 4:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. Immerse yourself in a 3D environment using our Virtual Reality gear. Program is open to ages 13 and up. Virtual reality reservations begin 30 minutes before the demo begins.
Anime Club meetings resume in February 2018. Join us for an afternoon of Anime, snacks, discussion, and activities! The group will be meeting on February 1, April 5, and June 7 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Get inspiration and support from fellow writers as you create and share your works at our Teen Writer’s Guild meetings. The group will meet on February 20 and April 17 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Jennifer Antonucci of the Murrieta Fire Department will be presenting an informational program about Teen Safety including basic CPR, AED, and first-aid techniques. The program will be on Monday, March 26 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room.
Play oversized board and party games with your friends on Tuesday, March 27 at 4:00 p.m. in the Community Room. Snacks will be served while supplies last.
April is National Poetry month and Ms. Lea will be hosting a Blackout Poetry program in the Community Room for grades 7 to 12. Get creative and draw over book pages, emphasizing words and phrases of your choice.
Teens age 13-17 must have a waiver signed by a parent/guardian before they can participate in any Library program. These activities are free and open to the public and are sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library and local businesses.
