MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library now has Playaway Launchpads available to borrow, free of charge. Playaway Launchpads are tablets that come pre-loaded with high-quality, ad-free learning apps and games, and have content available for both children and adults.
“Many families rely on libraries for access to the Internet and technology. Limited access can create an educational divide and it is our goal to help bridge that access gap”, says Senior Library Assistant Kathryn Miller. The Library has 11 different Launchpads available offering digital content on a variety of subjects ranging from language to science and math. There are 10+ apps pre-loaded onto each device. The borrowing procedure is the same as when borrowing a new item - a two week checkout period and no renewals.
The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street). For more information about library materials call (951) 304-2665 or visit the Library’s web page at www.murrietalibrary.info.
