To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Once again, Santa and his elves asked for a little help and requested that the public weigh in on rating the best and the brightest that the season has to offer. There were six categories for which the entries were eligible:
Best Overall Home
Most Holiday Spirit
Best Use of Lights
Most Festive and
Online voting took place from December 7 through December 18 for 26 total entries.
The City received 608 responses for all the categories combined.
The winners of each category and the honorable mentions are listed below. Each family will receive a special recognition yard sign as well as mention on the City's website. A map of all entries is available at Murrieta’s City Hall and attached below as a PDF to this news release.
