To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA - On Monday, November 6 at 6 p.m., the Murrieta Public Library will be hosting a Mini-Cake Decorating class for adults in the Library’s Community Room. Our talented friends from Batter Up Bakery will help aspiring cake decorators learn the fun of cake decorating and teach them how to create masterpieces they can enjoy with friends and loved ones. All materials will be provided and every participant will go home with a Mini-Cake of their own creation. Space is limited to 40 adults. Free passes will be handed out 30 minutes before the class at the Reference Desk.
On Tuesday, November 21 at 6 p.m., the Murrieta Public Library will be hosting a Chinese Brush Painting class for adults in the Library’s Community Room. With her masterful technique, artist and instructor, Alma Borcuk, will teach how a single ink brushstroke is capable of conveying vitality, delicacy, and contemplation at this beginner’s class. All materials will be provided and every participant will go home with a complete painting of their own creation. Space is limited to 20 adults. Free passes will be handed out 30 minutes before the class at the Reference Desk.
