Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

New Personal Growth Book Club at the Library

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library will offer a Personal Growth Book Club beginning Tuesday, September 26 at 6:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room.

September’s book selection is “The Happiness Project”, written by Gretchen Rubin. The former New York Times #1 Bestseller focuses on “one person’s year-long attempt to discover what leads to true contentment”. Future book selections will include “The Power of Intention” by Wayne Dyer, “Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear” by Elizabeth Gilbert, and “The Life- Changing Magic of Tidying Up” by Marie Kondo.

The Library’s Personal Growth Book Club, as its name suggests, will focus on spirituality, financial success, emotional awareness, self-acceptance and more. The book club meets in the Library’s Community Room the fourth Tuesday of the month. Copies of the monthly book selection are located at the Adult Reference Desk.
