Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Virtual Reality Experience at the Murrieta Library

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library’s Teen Makers Club will be hosting a virtual reality experience demo on Wednesday, August 2, at 3:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. The Library was recently awarded one Oculus Rift and compatible PCs from Oculus VR, a division of Facebook, Inc. This program is free and open to teens ages 13-18, and is limited to the first 20 participants. Virtual reality reservations begin 30 minutes before the demo begins.

This project is managed by Califa, a nonprofit library membership consortium, and is supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act.
