Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Library Offers Makers Club Program for Teens

MURRIETA, CA – With the support of the Friends of the Murrieta Public Library, the Library will be having a Makers Club meeting every first Thursday of each month starting on April 6 at 4:00 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. The program is free and open to teens, grades 7-12. Each month, teens will be given hands-on activities, crafts, and/or experiments that follow the principles of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Mathematics).

For the month of the April, the theme is “Mythbusters” and the activities will be: Create Your Own Slime, Big Bad Wolf Experiment, and Mentos and Soda Challenge.

This program is limited to the first 30 teens and passes will be handed out 30 minutes before the program begins. The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street).
