Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

History Talk Series Continues at the Murrieta Library

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library is honoring the 25th birthday of the City of Murrieta with a quarterly Speaker Showcase on the history of the Temecula Valley. The next in the series is a presentation by columnist John Hunneman, on Tuesday, November 1, at 6:00 p.m., in the Library’s Community Room.

Mr. Hunneman has reported the news and events in Southwest Riverside County for over a quarter of a century. He has been a columnist and journalist for The Californian, The Press Enterprise, and the Valley News. His presentation will cover his knowledge of Murrieta, its inception as a city and its changes through the years. This event is the last in a series of programs on local history presented this year. Refreshments will be served.
