Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Register to vote today as part of National Voter Registration Day

According to the Riverside County Registrar of Voters, roughly 64 percent of the 1.4 million eligible voters in Riverside County are registered to vote.

Registering to vote is easy! Register to vote online at  Paper applications are also available by visiting the City Clerk’s office at City Hall, Riverside County Registrar of Voters’ office, Department of Motor Vehicles offices, post offices, and public libraries.

Other important election related deadlines:

Beginning September 29th Registered voters will be receiving Sample Ballots and other elections materials. Anyone that is registered at least 29 days prior to election will receive these materials.

The week of October 3, 2016 a Vote-by-Mail ballot box will be delivered to the City Clerk’s Department, for the convenience of dropping off your Vote-by-Mail Ballots.

October 10-13, 2016 The City Clerk’s Department will be conducting a Voter’s Outreach at the Library, 8 Town Square from 10:00-12:00 a.m. and 2:00-4:00 p.m. Voter Registration cards may be filled out on the spot.

During October 10 – November 1, 2016 Vote-by-Mail Ballot Applications may be submitted in person or by mail to Riverside County Registrar of Voters.

October 24, 2016 is the close of registration or to transfer registration for the November 8, 2016 Consolidated General Municipal Election.

If you have moved, changed your name, political party affiliation you must re-register to vote.

October 31, 2016 Riverside County Registrar of Voters will provide a list of voters to the City Clerk with polling place information.

November 8, 2016 – Election Day – Polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
