Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Library Offers Free SAT vs. ACT Combo Practice Test

MURRIETA, CA – Improve your college test scores by participating in the free SAT vs. ACT Combo Practice Test hosted by the Murrieta Public Library and presented by Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. This free practice test is the perfect opportunity for students to experience both tests. It will be held in the Library’s Community Room on Saturday, September 24 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m.    

Now is the time for students in grades 9 to 12 to register as space is limited. Register online at http://bit.ly/mplcombo. The registration deadline is September 20. “Teens, this is your chance to discover what the tests are like and which test is best for you,” states Joyce Lea Brown, Teen Services Librarian.
