Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Library Offers Programs for Adults in March

MURRIETA, CA – A representative from Brandman University will present a job search skills workshop for adults on Thursday, March 10, at 3:00 p.m. This workshop will give an overview of the best techniques to find the job you desire. Brandman University, part of Chapman University System, is a private, nonprofit institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges that offers academic programs both online and at over 25 campuses throughout California and Washington.

Culinary expert and instructor Celine Cossou will present a demonstration, “Easy French Cooking”, by preparing a soup based on her own cookbook, Cooking with Trader Joe’s Cookbook: Pack a Lunch!, on Tuesday, March 15, at 6:00 p.m. A small tasting is included and the program is limited to 20 adult participants. Ms. Cossou teaches cooking classes at several venues in Southwest Riverside County and has her own blog, “Celine’s Cuisine.” This program is sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library.
