To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

The Murrieta Community Tech Expo will be held between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM on October 13 at Murrieta Mesa High School. The public is encouraged to attend to learn more about the ingenuity, innovation and collaboration taking place in Murrieta. There is no cost to attend.
The City of Murrieta is hosting a presentation by the State Board of Equalization for businesses interested in learning about manufacturing and research and development tax incentives offered by the State of California for businesses. Construction is starting on the new Courtyard Hotel by Marriott to be located on Madison Avenue near the Murrieta Walmart. This is the second of two hotels being developed at this location. The first hotel which is nearly complete is the Residence Inn by Marriott
The City is reviewing plans for a new two story office building on Ivy which will be the corporate headquarters for Beshay Enterprises which owns hundreds of restaurants, including Corner Bakery, Jack in the Box and Denny's restaurants in the Western United States.
CJ Wilson KTM Motorcycles of Murrieta has opened their new showroom in the South Murrieta ( Jefferson ) Business Corridor. KTM is an Austrian based company which already has their regional North American corporate facilities in Murrieta.
Attention East Coasters: Dunkin Donuts is under construction on Murrieta Hot Springs Road east of Alta Murrieta, the first Dunkin Donuts in Southwest Riverside County.
The County Board of Supervisors is expected to select the contractor for the construction of the new Clinton Keith Road between I-215 (Whitewood) and Winchester Road/State Route 79 North. The project will not only improve east-west access through the Murrieta East area but will also create additional opportunities for retail development near the I-215 and Clinton Keith Road interchange.
The 4 story Hampton Inn is under construction on Hancock south of the Stater Brokers shopping center.
