Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Storytime at the Murrieta Library

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library offers a number of different storytimes throughout the year. Storytime can have a tremendous impact on learning and literacy behavior by promoting the importance of reading and modeling behavior for parents and caregivers.

Family Storytime on Mondays, August 24 - December 7 at 10 & 11 AM. All ages. Bring the family for stories, songs, rhymes and movement activities. By attending storytimes together, children will learn early literacy skills, including print motivation, print awareness, narrative skills, phonological awareness, letter knowledge, and vocabulary.

Wee Wigglers Storytime on Wednesdays, August 26 - December 9 at 10 AM. Ages 3-5. An independent group activity designed to introduce preschool age children to storytelling.

Mother Goose & Me Storytime on Wednesdays, August 26 - December 9 at 10 & 11 AM. Birth to Age 3 with Adult. An on-the-lap storytime designed to introduce small children and their parents to storytelling.
