Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

History of Murrieta Presentation at the Library

MURRIETA, CA – Local author and historian, Rebecca Farnbach, will give a talk on the history of Murrieta on Tuesday, September 29 at 6:00 PM in the Library’s Community Room.
Ms. Farnbach, co-author of Murrieta (Images of America), as well as several other books in the Images of America series of community history books, is also a founder of the Vail Ranch Restoration Association that has focused efforts to preserve the Vail Ranch Headquarters site in south Temecula.

A variety of historical topics will be explored at the event, including information on Juan Murrieta, the City’s namesake, the Murrieta Hot Springs, where and why the first hotel was built, as well as other subjects that focus primarily on the early days of Murrieta.
