Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Teen Summer Reading Program Continues at the Library

MURRIETA, CA – The 2015 Read to the Rhythm! Teen Summer Reading Program is in full swing for teens grades 7 - 12. Earn points for reading and participating in teen activities. There are multiple ways to win prizes including the Tuesday, Special, and Reading Prize Drawings, as well as the Finale Party Drawing.

Teens also have the opportunity to read books from the Murrieta Library to earn money for Animal Friends of the Valleys, the local animal shelter, and for Paws 4 Law, the Murrieta Police Department’s K9 unit. Teens Read! Teens Win! Animals Benefit! So make plans to read with us, come to the teen activities, earn money for Animal Friends of the Valleys and Paws 4 Law, and have fun at the Murrieta Library. Pick up your Teen Reading Card at the Adult Information Desk and start reading!

July activities for teens:
• Class Act! Audition with Confidence - Monday, July 6, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
• Get Your Act Together! Teen Talent Challenge - Saturday, July 11, 2 p.m. (Registration required by July 8.)
• Sushilicious - Thursday, July 16, 3 p.m.
• Read to the Rhythm! Finale Party - Thursday, July 23, 2 p.m.

Space is limited with the exception of the Finale Party. Tickets are available 30 minutes before each activity begins.
