To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA – On Thursday, July 2, at 3:00 p.m., Susan Carberry, professional cake designer and owner of the Cake Cottage, will demonstrate special techniques to decorate great cupcakes. Everyone will get a cupcake to decorate. This event is limited to 20 adult participants. An opportunity drawing for a gift certificate will be offered near the end of the program.
On Wednesday, July 8, at 3:00 p.m., Yiyi Ku, principal pianist with Inland Valley Symphony, along with some young musicians, will perform a special recital. Families are welcome.
On Monday, July 13, at 6:00 p.m., culinary expert Mia Cucuta will demonstrate how to make three types of salsa with fresh ingredients. This event is limited to 20 adult participants. An opportunity drawing for a gift certificate will be offered near the end of the program.
For the programs with space limitations, free passes will be available in the Library’s foyer 30 minutes before each program begins and participants must be present to receive pass. All programs will be held in the Library’s Community Room.
These events are free and open to the public and are part of the “Read to the Rhythm!” Summer Reading Program sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library.
