Stop Identity Theft Program

Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Trust and Estate Attorney to Give Workshops at Library

MURRIETA, CA – Attorney Jeffrey Nickerson will present two separate workshops focusing on estate planning at the Murrieta Public Library. Special Needs Estate Planning will be on Thursday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. and Estate Planning 101 follows on Monday, March 30th at 6:00 p.m. Both programs will be presented in the Murrieta Library’s Community Room.

The first workshop is designed for families of a dependent with a disability or special need. The second presentation, Estate Planning 101, covers wills, trusts, financial powers of attorney, heath care directives and more. Mr. Nickerson has been a practicing attorney for almost 20 years and specializes in estate planning and conservatorship. He is a member of the Academy of Special Needs Planning.
