The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.
For more information on this event, please call (951) 461-6013.
The City of Murrieta is providing free sand and bags in case the current storm dumps more rain on us than anticipated.
The sand is located at Fire Station #1 (Juniper) and Station #2 (Cal Oaks) and is available 24/7 as long as the firefighters are not out on a call. Up to ten (10) bags per Murrieta residence will be provided. Proof of residency will be required in the form of a current utility bill or current vehicle registration. Please bring your own shovel as we cannot guarantee one will be available, you will be required to shovel the sand yourself.
Remember that flooding can happen quickly. Please be mindful of your speed while driving and stay safe out there, Murrieta!
Please call (951) 304-FIRE if you have any questions regarding the sand bags.
