SoCalGas - Mobilehome Park Utility Upgrade Program

Southern California Gas Company provides natural gas service to over 1,600 mobile home park (MHP) communities throughout its service territory. In most of these MHP communities, SoCalGas provides natural gas to a single master-meter and it is then distributed through MHP owned natural gas submeter systems maintained and operated by the MHP owner or property manager. These submetered systems beyond the SoCalGas master-meter are the responsibility of MHP owners.

This program allows you to apply to have your aging natural gas system replaced with a new, utility-owned system.  The program is intended to enhance community safety and ensure reliable natural gas service.  It will also provide residents in converted parks with continued and greater access to customer assistance and energy efficiency programs.

The open enrollment period begins January 1, 2015, and runs until March 31, 2015.  Owners interested in participating in the program must submit a Form of Intent during open enrollment for each park they’re interested in converting.
