To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Come join the Western Riverside Council of Governments at the Festival of Trees on Saturday, December 6th at 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Town Square Park and exchange your holiday lights for new LED energy efficient ones! This opportunity is available, at no cost, to all Southern California Edison (SCE) residential customers in the Western Riverside County region. One hundred exchanges will be available for this event, so arrive early! The exchange is valid for lighting strand counts of 50 or more.
Participation is easy:
1. Must bring old inefficient incandescent lights. You may exchange up to two (2) strands. Lights must still work, and contain all bulb parts.
2. Must bring a recent copy of SCE monthly bill (or proof of electronic bill payment).
