Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Library Offers Free SAT and PSAT Practice Tests and Workshops

MURRIETA, CA – Improve your college admission test scores by participating in the free Practice Tests and Workshops hosted by the Murrieta Public Library and presented by Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions. These practice tests are the perfect opportunity for students to gain experience and learn tips to succeed. The workshops are for everyone, not just for those who took the tests; however, the students who took the Practice Tests will receive their scores at the corresponding workshop. The PSAT Test scores are valuable when applying for merit scholarships. The Practice Tests and Workshops will be held in the Library’s Community Room. Now is the time to register as space is limited. Register by calling 1 800-KAPTEST.

SAT Practice Test - Saturday, September 6 from 12 Noon - 4:30 p.m. Grades 9 - 12
SAT Test Strategies 101 - Tuesday, September 16 from 6 to 7 p.m. Grades 9 - 12 and Parents
PSAT Practice Test - Saturday, September 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Grades 9 - 11
PSAT Workshop - Tuesday, September 23 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Grades 9 - 11 and Parents
