Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Extension of Nomination Period

Extension of Nomination Period - Murrieta's General Municipal Election

A General Municipal Election was called in the City of Murrieta to be held on November 4, 2014 to elect three members of the City Council to four year terms.  Since one of the incumbents did not file papers to run for Murrieta City Council, the nomination period is extended to 5:30 p.m. on August 13, 2014. Nomination papers and a candidate packet may be obtained from the City Clerk between 7:30 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday at Murrieta City Hall, 1 Town Square, Murrieta, CA.  The candidate packet, minus the official filing form and application, is available on the city’s website at:  http://www.murrieta.org/election.  However, to obtain the official filing form, you must contact the City Clerk department.  Since the process takes approximately one hour, please call 951-461-6030 to schedule an appointment.
