Stop Identity Theft Program - Document On-Site Shredding Event

To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.

Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

Library Plans One-Day Closure Following System Update

MURRIETA, CA – The Murrieta Public Library will be upgrading the catalog software system on August 11th through 14th and patrons will have the minor inconvenience of not being able to reserve or renew materials, access the catalog or their accounts during these four days. The Library will then close for one day on Friday, August 15th for a staff in-service day; however, the outside book drops will remain open for anyone who still wishes to return their materials. Patrons are reminded that while the Murrieta Library will be closed on August 15th, they can visit the Library’s web page where they can view their personal accounts and access a variety of free resources that are always available for research. The Library will re-open on Saturday, August 16th at 12:00 PM.
