Monthly Book Club at the Library

MURRIETA, CA – Join fellow book lovers at the Murrieta Public Library on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m. for the Library’s Book Club. May’s selection is the New York Times bestseller, (more than 160 consecutive weeks on the list!), “Unbroken”, a chronicle of the life of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic runner who was taken prisoner by Japanese forces during World War II. Author Laura Hillenbrand, who’s first book was the acclaimed “Seabiscuit: An American Legend”, has received many accolades for “Unbroken”, including TIME Magazine’s Best Nonfiction Book of the Year, and the Los Angeles Times Book of the Year Award for Nonfiction. It has been celebrated by noted book critics as being "Inspiring…evocative…Almost too incredible to be believed”. The feature film based on this highly praised book is set to be released later this year, making the book even more popular.

Limited copies are available to check out at the Reference and Information Desk. All participants who come to the program will be entered into an opportunity drawing for a $10 Barnes and Noble gift card. The Book Club will meet in the Library’s Community Room and refreshments will be served.

This program is free and open to the public.
