To help stop identity theft and as a service to our residents, the City of Murrieta City Clerk Department is hosting a FREE Document On-Site Shredding Event. The event will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. or until the truck is filled to capacity. Residents may bring up to FIVE banker-sized boxes per trip, to the back parking lot of City Hall.
Items that may be included are paper documents such as legal, medical, financial, tax, bank, photos, and credit card statements (no need to remove staples or paper clips). Residents may also bring credit cards and CDs. No businesses please.

MURRIETA, CA – On Tuesday, April 22, the Murrieta Public Library will join hundreds of libraries in celebrating the 17th anniversary of El día de los niños/El día de los libros (Children's Day/Book Day). This event is an annual celebration of children, families, and reading that has evolved from the Mexican tradition El día del niño (The Day of the Child). The program emphasizes the importance of advocating literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
During the program, Library staff will demonstrate how to make a traditional Mexican craft and provide all the necessary supplies for kids to create their own to take home. The program is open to children of all ages and will begin at 4 p.m. in the Library’s Community Room. Arrive early; this program is limited to the first 60 children. Free event passes will be available 30 minutes prior to the program.
This event is free and open to the public and is sponsored by the Friends of the Murrieta Library. The Murrieta Public Library is located at 8 Town Square (Adams Avenue and Kalmia Street).
